The Grounds of Alexandria is a sanctuary from the moment you walk in, to the moment you step out. Upon entry, you are greeted with flowers of all different types and colours, setting the mood for what’s to come.

Starting with the growing room, you immediately focus on the linear lines of the raw timber floorboards. The organic feel instantly creates a soothing and calm atmosphere. The floorboards lead your eye to the buffet at the back of the room. The natural imperfections of this piece are beautiful in their own right, from the raw finishes to the patterns and knots in the timber. The surrounding plants play a significant role within the space, by adding a fresh component and drawing you further in to the space.

Next is the café, with its warm brick walls, that perfectly compliment the timber floors. The earthy colours of the furniture further enhance the harmony of the space.  If you’re looking to style any space with a contemporary organic feel, here is your place for inspiration! The fresh greenery teamed with the stunning and intricate architectural features create an eye catching space that makes you want to sit for hours. On another note, the food is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend the porridge with fresh fruit salad.
