Describe my dream home
My dream home has to be a traditional Californian Bungalow with a huge front porch and picket fence surrounding it with a modern open plan extension at the rear that brings old and new together. I’ve always loved the wholesome looking family home!
No. 1 tip for making a house a home
Make it look lived in! Neutral tones throughout shying away from really bold colours so you feel relaxed as soon as you step through the front door, plenty of photos, scented candles and fresh flowers.
Path that led me to Furnish and Finish
Since I was a child I always wondered what other people’s homes looked like on the inside, I think this is what led me into a successful career as a residential Real Estate Agent for the last 12 years! I’ve always enjoyed advising my clients about the presentation of their home when going on the market and I have a clear understanding that a home has to be styled and look its absolute best during its time on the market to attract not only the right buyer but also to give it the opportunity to sell for the best possible price. With my background in Real Estate I’m able to give our clients a clear understanding of what a buyer looks for and what they want to feel as soon as they step through the front door and Furnish and Finish has given me the opportunity to do just that.
Where do I find my inspiration
A career in real estate gave me an addiction to property sites like realestate.com and domain in which I scroll through countless photos of different styles of homes daily and I’m totally inspired by the interiors and styling and chances that other people have taken that I’ve never thought of. I also find inspiration in magazines, social media and shows like Selling Houses Australia and Grand Designs.
