Happy Landings

After returning from 4 years living in the States David and Pip Hanbury, along with their 13 month old son Josh were ready to purchase their next family home. In order to do this David and Pip knew they would have to sell their first time abode in Freshwater. After removing their furniture from their 2 bedroom apartment in Laurence Avenue, David and Pip realised how bare it seemed and wanted their first home to be showcased in its deserving light.

“The thought of styling our property was very last minute, we had high expectations and were a bit wary” Said David. “After researching on line and being recommended by a couple of people in the industry we decided to put out faith in Furnish and Finish Property Styling”.

“On arrival I could see that this property is bright and spacious” said Property Stylist Nicole Tarrant. “However, with David and Pips furniture removed, it appeared to be quite monotone and had nothing for the light to bounce around on. I immediately imagined a coastal, fresh feel ,with an easy attitude to it, fitting in beautifully with the surrounding environment”.

“The dining/living space is really quite large but it can be hard for the buyer to imagine where everything would go. Styling the space into 3 easy sections allows the buyer to get a feel for the space and an idea of its size”.

“The views from this property are simply gorgeous and I wanted to enhance that backdrop by inviting some of the colour in. Using our Saint Tropez furniture along with other fresh light pieces gave the room a light airy base and then by adding texture with our dark grey wash wicker mirror and chairs brought about a relaxing coastal feel. Using these pieces allowed me to pick up the landscape and enhance the indoors with greens, blues, turquoise woody tones.

On Completion David and Pip said “The furniture was beyond our expectations and for us the accessories really made the place look fantastic! We have had a lot of positive comments about it, even people asking why we are selling as it looks so amazing!”
